Individual Volunteer

When you volunteer as an individual, you will work with a team of other volunteers either in the Warehouse. See how food goes from donation to delivery by helping us sort and inspect donated food items, prepare the sorted product for our partner agencies, and assemble/pack food boxes. At a Mobile Pantry, this is for people who want to volunteer face-to-face with community members in need of healthy, nutritious food. Mobile Pantries are held several times a month at various locations throughout Los Angeles County.

Shifts are scheduled weekdays

Some requirements:

  • Volunteering includes standing, reaching, bending and moving at a constant pace.
  • Volunteers should be able to lift 10 pounds.
  • Closed-toe shoes are required. Wear comfortable attire, such as jeans and t-shirt
  • Volunteers must be at least 12 years old, and youth age 12-15 must have an adult accompany them.
